It's been a while. So I thought I'd update the site. The distribution process on my last film CONFINEMENT is almost complete. The delay has been due to the U.S. Copyright Office holding things up! It's coming upon a year since I sent in the film to be copyrighted. It took me months to speak to a human to find out what's been taking so long. They've "expedited" it and all should be well soon.
My latest screenplay CONTAINMENT has been completed and I will be starting preproduction on the movie shortly. I am doing something different with this screenplay. Now that it is complete I am presenting it to a screenwriting group that I am a member of here in Charlottesville. I want to get the feedback and criticism from the group first. Then I will touch up CONTAINMENT if it needs any. Finally it's on to preproduction.
Also Suzanne Ramsey who was a big help on CONFINEMENT wrote a great article here. If you're a runner, like running, hate runners, or hate running check it out.

Goodbye Steve Irwin...
Irwin, 44, died on 4 September when the barb from a stingray pierced his chest while he was filming for a TV show on the Great Barrier Reef. His family held a private funeral service for him on 9 September at the family-owned park, Australia Zoo.
His prompted an outpouring of grief in Australia, and among the estimated 200 million viewers of his television programs.

I am working on the last 2 effect sequences for the movie CONFINEMENT.
Also I dug up the movie CONCEALMENT and made an online version of it which you can watch and enjoy. Check out the CONCEALMENT pages. (Warning: do not attempt to watch unless you have a highspeed internet connection or have a million hours to wait.)
CONFINEMENT is within weeks from being completed. Looking really good too.
In other news Suzanne Ramsey has made her first film SPOOK BABY. You can check out the trailer for it right HERE.
Good job Suzanne!
Been working like mad every chance I get on CONFINEMENT and Riders of Yesteryear. There are some new videos on the CONFINEMENT Trailer page. You can check them out to see some of the progress.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year! Or in a politically correct version happy RamaHanuKwanzMas!
Editing has been going well on CONFINEMENT. I am editing this one in two phases. Phase one being Visual while Phase two is Sound. I am over 75% done with Phase One. I will add up the number of special effects when I'm finished. I'm sure it will be high. I expect to be finished with the entire movie by the end of March! That seams realistic.
Shooting
is complete with CONFINEMENT!
I have been editing like mad and doing effects and will
continue until the project is complete. It
has taken 19 months to film this flic and many more for pre/post production. I
have destroyed 2 camera’s making it. And
it has been a huge task for everyone involved due to the extreme locations and
filming environments.
For movie geeks out there, I have over 36 hours of footage to
work with! Trimming 36 down to about
2 is a huge task! I have most of the
picture edited together at this point so the bulk of the post production is
complete.
There
are a few new pics up on the site:

Thanks
to everyone involved!

The teaser trailer for CONFINEMENT is up.
March 2004! That's right! Check the beginning of the shooting diary! This movie has been in production now for over a year! That sucks! All I can do is blame myself. But forget that. The weather has been the main cause for every delay imaginable. The leaves fell from the trees and we put it all on hold. We've been filming! Check out the Production diary!
It's been a while since I have updated the production diary. We have gotten through 90% of the filming on this movie. We have to film a few more outside scenes and they have been postponed due to the trees changing. So for now, filming is frozen. We will be doing a few insert shots here and there and beginning post production.
There are many more updates on the CONFINEMENT pages!
Another day of filming done on CONFINEMENT!

MICA (The Low Budget Stuntman) aka Michael Stewart had an accident today. In a non-movie related incident he fell from the 3rd story of an apartment building in Richmond, VA. He landed inverted on the cobblestone below. His spine was severed and he no longer has feeling/movement below his chest. Luckily he still has use of his arms and he can breathe on his own. He has taken the news of his condition very well. (Better than I would have.) He remains upbeat and ready for the challenges that lay ahead.
He has always been and will always be a unique character.

Post Production Depression... I'm Still in Post Production. Boo Hoo...
As of now the movie is visually finished minus a few effect shots. We are currently doing sound work. MIDIJAMMAN has got a cut of the movie and he's working up a soundtrack.
Check out Piranha Pictures web site and look under 5TH CITY to see some pics from that movie.
Last weekend I filmed with Eric Thornett. It was an exhausting day. But it will be worth it when the scene is put together.
As of today I am 93% finished with the editing of CONCEALMENT. Everything is going smoothly. After the editing is finished I'll then go back and tune up the sound. I estimated that I'd be finished by mid-June and am right on schedule.
An interesting side note is that we have a ton of visual effects in this movie. (I plan to get a number when I'm done editing.)
In other news: Some stuff has been happening over at Piranha Pictures web site. They've recently begun their next picture and have added info to their web site.
